2011 Chinese New Year Festival (1/25/2011)
The Organization of Chinese Americans - Central Virginia Chapter and the Central Virginia Chinese School, together with other organizations and communities in the Richmond area,are planning a Lunar New Year Celebration to be held on Sunday, February 6, 2011, from 10:00 AM to 3:00 PM at Deep Run High School in Henrico. This cultural and educational event will be free and open to the public. The Lunar New Year (more commonly known as Chinese New Year) is widely celebrated in many Asian countries each year.
Activities include cultural performances, kid's hands-on-crafts, a parade, and food!
