Admission Free to Family Event that Features Performances, Cultural Exhibits and Food
Rich in tradition and custom, the Lunar New Year is the most important holiday for many Asian countries. To share the holiday with fellow Central Virginians, the local Chinese community, in conjunction with Short Pump Mall, will hold Richmond’s second free, public Chinese New Year Festival on Saturday, February 20, 2010 from 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM at Short Pump Mall. Festivities include a parade with Lion and Dragon Dances, cultural performances, hands-on-activities and cultural displays.
The Chinese New Year festival is the collaborative effort of the Richmond area’s major Chinese organizations and Short Pump Town Centre.
